Local Dentist To Put Big Smiles on Little Faces
Chicago, IL 2-10-10
To celebrate its 8th consecutive year providing needed dental care for children in Guatemala and Nepal, and to help those closer to home, the Tonganoxie dental practice of Grant Ritchey, DDS has become a Branch Office of the Smile Tree.
“While we believe that charity begins at home, it does not end there, which is why, in addition to volunteering at the Save A Smile free dental clinic here in Tonganoxie, we’ve also become a Branch Office of The Smile Tree” says Dr. Ritchey, a Tonganoxie resident of over thirty years.
“To show our concern for desperately impoverished children overseas, we have adopted two dental clinics, one in Guatemala, and one in Nepal” continues Ritchey. He also plans to participate in the Guatemala Clinic in July.
In support of these Initiatives, Dr. Ritchey is donating one dollar for every new patient exam, and hopes patients will match his contribution. Dr. Ritchey continues “Little things add up, and our plan is to raise more than $2,000 this year, one or two dollars at time. We’re also planning our Smile Tree Patient Appreciation party in August, where we’ll share our experiences in Guatemala, and show what everyone’s support helped us accomplish.”
